Meet New Friends
You’re going to meet a lot of interesting people at Walnut Village. People who share a passion for getting together and enjoying a good time. People just like you.

The village atmosphere lends a sense of intimacy, too, and provides plenty of opportunities to meet, share interests, socialize and even find romance. Which means you’re unlikely to be without plans if that’s what you desire.

Even before the community opened its doors, soon-to-be neighbors started getting together for social events, and fast became friends. Etola Blucker and friends now regularly meet in the Red Chair Lounge to catch up on their day over a glass of wine.   They’ve even started a choral group and invited everyone to join.  Etola loves the atmosphere of companionship without cliques.

“For the first time probably in my life, it feels like I’m really home, where everybody cares, and everybody’s interested and everybody is interesting, too.”

You might even find some old friends here, too. Like former Anaheim Chief of Police Jimmie Kennedy and his wife Chloris, who were delighted to learn that their longtime friends the Grays were joining them as neighbors at Walnut Village.

“We’ve been friends with them since 1958. We were both in the police department together, retired on the same day, and have lived in the same neighborhoods most of that time.”

Village life – it’ll bring out the “more the merrier” in you.
