Walnut Village Fact Sheet
Now Under Construction
- Walnut Village is a groundbreaking new full-service continuing care
retirement community currently in development at 891 South Walnut Street,
Anaheim, California. The 10-acre community is scheduled to open in
2009.
- This uniquely designed community will be constructed on the current
site of Walnut Manor which was originally built in 1937. Once built,
Walnut Village will offer a completely new service and amenities program
unlike any other in the area.
- All buildings on the site will be replaced with the exception of
the chapel and the 24-hour nursing center which will remain open to
serve the community throughout construction. Renovations and upgrades
to the Care Center and chapel/performing arts center will be ongoing
and completed in time to match the new construction of Walnut Village.
Well-appointed Accommodations
- The plan for Walnut Village provides for independent living in 159
private, well-appointed accommodations including a range of sizes and
configurations. Future residents will choose from several floor plans.
Three Levels of Care
- Walnut Village will be licensed by the State of California as a Continuing
Care Retirement Community. CCRCs provide a contract for housing and
services such as dining, housekeeping, maintenance and access to assisted
living and nursing care all in one location. CCRCs offer distinct advantages
over other types of living situations for seniors, including physical
and financial security, independence, access to health care, companionship
of friends and neighbors of similar ages, access to community facilities
and privacy.
A Stellar Reputation
- Walnut Village is part of Front Porch, a well-reputed, long-standing,
non-profit organization that owns and operates 13 retirement communities,
11 of which are located in California.

"It was the whole village
atmosphere that sold me. It seemed to be more cozy and friendly
than most of the retirement communities
I've seen."
