The Performing Arts Center hosts seminars, dances and live performances by not only talented residents but recognized artists as well. Classes in drama, music and singing are offered.

Design
The architectural theme is a contemporary interpretation of the Southern California Mission style. The village is warm, welcoming and evokes small-town sensibilities. An outdoor promenade weaves through the village, public areas, gardens, outdoor fireplaces, recreational areas and by homes.

Continuing Care
As a Continuing Care Retirement Community, residents age in place. The community brings assisted living service right to residents’ doors when they need it. Residents also have peace of mind knowing that a memory support neighborhood and a fully licensed skilled nursing center are located on site.

Independent Living at Walnut Village is designed for optimum wellbeing. The dining options, wellness and fitness amenities, classes and arts are included in monthly fees. Also included are complete building and grounds maintenance, appliance maintenance, in-home cleaning service, scheduled transportation, concierge services, underground secure parking, 24-hour emergency call system, medical clinic, personal trainers/massage services, gated entry with 24-hour building and grounds security and indoor personal storage.

Assisted Living Services are available as residents need extra help. As residents have the flexibility to age in place, services will be brought to their home. Residents only pay for the health services they actually use. Among assisted living services are help with dressing, grooming and medication management.

A Memory Support Neighborhood, called Summer House, has a staff of memory support caregivers who offer assisted care and individualized programming for those with varying degrees of memory loss. Color, layout of public spaces, lighting and visual cues were considered in the overall design of the neighborhood. One of the therapeutic features of the program is the wander garden with flowering shrubs and trees specifically chosen to attract birds and butterflies. A large entertainment space features a piano, arts and crafts center and a Wii gaming/fitness system.

Dakim Brain Fitness System, a cognitive exercise and preventative brain fitness program, is integrated throughout the community.

A Skilled Nursing Center offers 24-hour care. The award-winning Walnut Manor Care Center is a licensed 99-bed skilled nursing care center and the largest in Orange County. The Care Center offers short- and long-term care including rehabilitative and th erapeutic care and a Rapid Transitional Rehabilitation Program.
